His Other Life by Beth Thomas

The story of a couple with seemingly perfect lives…and the secrets they hide behind closed doors.
Perfect for fans of Liane Moriarty and Jo Jo Moyes.
He was hiding a terrible secret . . .
Grace’s new husband Adam seems like the perfect package. Good looking, great job, completely charming – almost too good to be true . . .
So when Adam suddenly disappears from Grace’s life, she is left bewildered and heartbroken. And with a lot of unanswered questions.
As she tries desperately to find him, Grace opens a Pandora’s Box of secrets and lies – and starts to learn that Adam wasn’t so perfect after all.
What shameful secrets was her husband hiding? Is Grace in danger? And can she survive the truth? However terrible it may be . . .

I'm so pleased to be a stop on the blog tour for Beth Thomas's second novel.
As soon as I saw the cover of this book I couldn't wait to read it. I love stories with secrets and lies and this one didn't let me down.
Grace is celebrating her first wedding anniversary to Adam who comes across as being strange right from the start. They have been together for three years and Grace doesn't question her life until Adam goes missing, only then does she realise how little she knows about her husband. His mother seems to be slightly mad and his step- father evasive so Grace goes home to her family while she waits to hear what's happened to her husband. She feels slightly out of step with her parents and sister and brother, their lives seemed to have moved on and Grace hasn't been part of it. Why hasn't she visited them like she did before she met Adam?

I couldn't put this book down and every time Grace found out something but decided to wait before letting us know what is was I was shouting at the book,"Just open it!" or " Tell me!" I read it in a couple of days and I didn't guess the ending. I came up with a few wrong endings which all seemed possible but Beth Thomas had the best one. When I had finished it I didn't know what to do with myself or what book I had in my pile that would come close to it.
I loved Grace even although her potty mouth didn't seem to match her naive personality. Ginger or Ginge who is Grace's best friend is hilarious and a great addition to the book. Grace's parents brought some light relief to the book too as they tried to be supportive to their daughter in their own way.
I don't want to give away  any spoilers as there are so many twists and turns I want you to be like me and turn the pages eager to find out what happens next.
This is Beth Thomas's second book and it's completely different from her first one and just as good. I hope she has a third book on the boil.
Trust me, you'll love it!
